The Midiflotor is a small but powerful air-driven internal protein skimmer. Its principal feature is the double reaction cylinder system: within the inner cylinder air bubbles rise and carry large quantities of water upward. This water then falls into the outer cylinder and carries the air bubbles downward to the expansion cone, which stops the air bubbles. They therefore rise, against the strong counter-current, and carry waste products to the patented foam cup. This procedure ensures a long contact time for the bubbles, making this a most effective but very compact skimmer. The Midiflotor includes a robust mounting plate, allowing vertical movement of the skimmer to regulate the foam production zone. A lime wood air stone producing very fine air bubbles is also included.

The Turboflotor 750 is a compact, motor driven hang-in protein skimmer for aquaria up to 100 gal. It is supplied with a large volume mechanical pre-filter. The venturi pump, 10-Watt with needle wheel impeller, sucks the air in automatically mixes it with the water and pushes the mixture into the reaction pipe (75 mm, 3 inch diameter). The pipe has an expansion cone with postfilter at its bottom end. The foam cup is conical shaped to improve the ejection of foam. The unique strong holding system allows safe fastening and adjustment of the skimmer at the aquarium frame.

Motor driven external protein skimmer for aquaria of 120 - 250 gallons

The Turboflotor 1000 multi is a versatile protein skimmer. It can be mounted on the side of the aquarium (?hang-on? mode), or placed inside or outside the sump of the filter. Its compact size makes it small enough to be positioned under the cabinet. 
In ?hang-on? mode, the pump is placed inside the aquarium. This pump (Ocean Runner PH 2500, 38 W) features a venturi with the patented ab Aqua Medic needle wheel. The skimmer itself has our patented conical collection cup and two outflow boxes for directing the water back into the aquarium.

As an option, a large 0.3 gallon Filter Box can be placed on the outlets for use as a first stage biological filter.
